Universal Yoga 6-day Intensive The Conscious Mandala with Christina
18-24 November iapm mall
About the Workshop
Universal Yoga (UY), which is founded by the Ukrainian yoga master Andrey Lappa, is one of the most authentic and traditional yoga systems in the modern society. It is a complete system of yoga which includes all kinds of yoga practice including asana, vinyasa, pranayama, visualisation, mantra chanting and meditation.
In this 6-day Intensive, Christina will lead participants every morning, from Tuesday to Sunday, to practise a 3-hour classic but different Universal Yoga practice (Sequences by Andrey Lappa).
The workshop also includes one 3-hour theory class on Saturday afternoon. Apart from introducing the core values of Universal Yoga, the secret of the sequencing of a UY mandala will also be decoded. Through understanding the logic of the sequence, participants will continue their practice with a clearer mind and a greater consciousness, which eventually lead them to a higher state of yoga practice.
All levels of practitioners are welcome (best if you have previous Universal Yoga class experience).
Taught in English with Mandarin interpretation.

The irregular lifestyle of a flight attendant completely threw Christina off balance. Looking for a healthy way out, she decided to step on the mat. She felt such peacefulness after just one practice and instantly fell in love with yoga. As her regular practice took her deeper into the intricacies of yoga, she discovered its fascinating philosophy, which eventually prompted her to take a teacher training course with the great yoga master Andrey Lappa. Yoga is the art of body-mind-spirit connection for Christina. It has slowed down her pace in life, calmed her mind and taught her to be compassionate.
Christina, originally from Hong Kong, is one of the few disciples of Andrey Lappa, founder of Universal Yoga, who is certified as a 600-hr Universal Yoga teacher. She is deeply inspired by her root guruji, Andrey Lappa, and she dedicates herself to study with Andrey all around the world, including Hong Kong, Taipei, Shanghai and Himalayas these years. She is always assigned as the demonstrator or translator. Christina feels particularly blessed to have met Andrey, who has given her vigorous trainings in the full system of asanas and vinyasas, the art of mandala sequencing, as well as authentic methods of internal energetic practice.
Christina realises that practising yoga is actually a path to get rid of sufferings and ultimately reach endless happiness. Universal Yoga is an effective tool for her. She therefore perseveres in practising and teaching Universal Yoga unremittingly in order to share this traditional and authentic system of yoga to people who are looking for the right path of spiritual liberation. She co-founded Yoga Alfresco and organised outdoor community and charity yoga classes regularly in Hong Kong. She taught an online yoga channel Yoogaia® before teaching at Pure Yoga in Shanghai.
Christina describes her classroom as a rich soil where consciousness is raised and compassion is cultivated. Her classes are founded on the principles of Universal Yoga, which include not only asanas and vinyasas, but also pranayama, mantra chanting and meditation to enhance powers of concentration. Christina is known for her articulate instructions, uplifting energy, and seamless incorporation of philosophical teachings into physical practices. Himalayan singing bowls with her beautiful chanting is her signature. Her educational background and her professional trainings at multinational corporations, helped Christina to develop a detailed mind and to focus on every single detail of teaching. This indeed makes difficult concepts simple and easy to be understood. Her egoless teaching style, open-minded attitude, patient and compassionate personality, are embraced by many fellowships.
